Why I Don’t Use AI in My Art (and Never Will)

The world is full of shortcuts now.
Images can be generated in seconds, entire “works of art” conjured by code. But here’s the truth — my art doesn’t live in shortcuts.

Every Orin Kade piece begins with a real photograph I take myself. A quiet bloom. A light against wood. A fragment of shadow. These moments exist because I was there to see them — and because they meant something before I transformed them into something surreal.

AI can create pictures.
But it can’t create presence.

🌑 Why I Won’t Use AI

Authenticity matters.
My art is built from lived experience. From the sound of rain in a still room, from the way a petal leaned toward the dark. AI can’t feel that. And if it can’t feel it, it can’t express it.

Every piece is touched, shaped, and considered.
I spend hours — sometimes days — editing and refining each artwork. The imperfections, the decisions, the pauses are part of the piece. AI skips that process, and to me, it skips the soul.

Art should hold memory.
My works are fragments of reality, digitally transformed but still anchored in the world we share. AI creates images that were never there. I create echoes of moments that were.

🖋 Why That Matters for Collectors

When you buy an Orin Kade fine art print, you’re not buying a file from a machine. You’re buying something that started as a real photograph — a captured breath of reality, transformed by hand.

This is why each piece can say, I was here. Someone saw me.

🎴 The Future I Choose

Art will always evolve. But for me, it will always be human.

Every Orin Kade artwork is — and always will be — created from my own photographs, my own hands, and my own intention.

No AI.
No shortcuts.
Only art that feels.
