Why Soul Matters in Art
Art is everywhere. On walls, in books, in endless streams on our screens. But not all of it lingers. Some dazzles for a moment and vanishes like a spark in the dark.
Why? Because art without soul is only surface.
For me, every piece begins as a photograph, a fragment of the real. But it is the act of transformation, the infusion of stillness, longing, or memory, that allows it to become more than an image. It becomes an echo of something human.
Soul in art isn’t about explanation. It isn’t about grand ideas or technical mastery. It’s about resonance, that quiet recognition in the viewer that says: I feel this, though I cannot say why.
When you live with a work of art, this resonance matters more than anything. It shapes how the piece breathes in your space, how it catches your eye in quiet hours, how it reminds you of emotions you thought you had forgotten.
This is why I create. Not to decorate walls, but to give form to silence, mystery, and the unseen currents of being. Because beauty fades. But soul endures.
